By downloading, accessing, or using Cardy Life, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What Cardy Life Is

Cardy Life is a personal and relationship coaching tool built on a card-based personality framework. The app provides daily guidance, mood check-ins, connection insights, and journaling features — all personalized to your birth cards.

What Cardy Life Is Not

Cardy Life is not a medical, psychological, therapeutic, or financial service. The guidance provided by the app is for personal reflection and entertainment purposes only. It should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, mental health treatment, counseling, or therapy.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a licensed professional or your local emergency services.

Your Account

You may create an account using Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You agree to provide accurate information (specifically your date of birth, which is used to calculate your cards).

You must be at least 13 years old to use Cardy Life. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.

Your Content

You retain ownership of everything you create in Cardy Life — including journal entries, notes, check-in responses, and connection profiles. We do not claim any ownership or intellectual property rights over your content.

By using the app, you grant Channel22 LLC a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service (e.g., sending your check-in data to generate an AI reading). This license ends when you delete your account.

AI-Generated Content

Readings, guidance, and insights generated by Cardy Life are produced by AI (Anthropic's Claude API) based on your cards, mood, and input. This content is:

• Generated uniquely for you in the moment
• Not reviewed or verified by a human
• Not a substitute for professional advice of any kind
• Provided "as is" without guarantees of accuracy

You should use your own judgment when interpreting or acting on any AI-generated content.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Cardy Life for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's infrastructure
• Impersonate another person or misuse another person's data
• Use automated tools or bots to access the service
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the app or its content

Subscriptions & Payments

Cardy Life may offer free and paid features. If you subscribe to a paid plan:

• Payment is processed through Apple's App Store
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings
• Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy
• We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice

Intellectual Property

The Cardy Life name, logo, design, card framework, AI prompts, and all original content are the property of Channel22 LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the app without written permission.

Availability & Changes

We aim to keep Cardy Life available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:

• Update, modify, or discontinue features at any time
• Perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability
• Change these terms with reasonable notice posted in the app

Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Channel22 LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Cardy Life. This includes but is not limited to:

• Decisions made based on AI-generated readings or guidance
• Loss of data due to technical issues
• Emotional distress related to content generated by the app
• Service interruptions or downtime

Our total liability to you for any claim related to the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Channel22 LLC, its officers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app or violation of these terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Michigan.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Cardy Life if you violate these terms. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the app ends immediately. Sections on liability, indemnification, intellectual property, and governing law survive termination.
